Kumbilan Cave has tunnel-like features and wide chambers laden with beautiful formations. The presence of stalactites and stalagmites and other formations in one chamber of the cave responds to educational needs with regards to cave evaluation. Fauna observed as occupants of the cave are snakes and fruit flies. The cave is home to the "kabyaw" fruit bats. 

      Mahayahay Cave   (Mawab, Compostela Valley, Mindanao)

          Located in Mahayahay,Tuboran, Mawab,7 kms. away from Tagum City and 2 kms. from the highway, it has natural features like stalactites and stalagmites. This cave serves as the home of small bats known as kabyaw. These flying mammals cling to the cavern's ceiling and walls on the farther chambers of the cave. To reach the cave, ride a bus from Tagum City and drop at the Barangay Hall, less than a kilometer from the highway. There, coordinate with village officials for a cave guide.
