Gov Uy condemns barangay captain’s murder; offers bounty
Compostela Valley Gov. Jayvee Tyron L. Uy condemns the murder of Joselito Crizaldo, barangay captain of Pasi-an, Monkayo, Compostela Valley. The murder of the barangay captain happened last September 4, 2018 in the midst of the town’s celebration of their founding anniversary.
In his recent public statement, the young governor expressed his utter disgust and condemnation to the murder of the barangay captain. He said that such act owns no place in his province.
He also offered a bounty to whoever can point to the perpetrators of the murder.
“In light of the recent event, we offer a bounty worth P300, 000 (three hundred thousand pesos) to whoever can point us to the killer and P500, 000 worth of cash to whoever can identify the mastermind of this crime. If you have relevant information that can help us identify the killer and mastermind of this violent act, please do not hesitate to contact your nearest police stations,” the governor said.
Gov. Uy, in his part, assured everyone that the authorities are on top of these things. He said that he actively coordinates with Mayor Ramil Gentugaya. He also cautioned the people of his province to practice vigilance. He asked them to report suspicious and highly irregular activities to designated authorities. // (PIO Comval)
