All set for the 1st ComvalBusiness and Investment Security Summit
To contend with peace and order and security issues affecting the local businesses in the province, the first-ever Compostela Valley Business Security and Investment Summit (CVBISS) will be held on August 10, 2018 with the theme, “For a safe ComVal”.
This one-day summit will be held at Big 8 Corporate Hotel, Tagum City participated by at least 350 key business leaders from the leading industries in the province. Businesspeople from banana, mining, retail business, banking and finance, transport and logistics, services providers, construction, resort and wood processing sectors are set to join the local government officials led by Governor Jayvee Tyrone L. Uy, mayors of the 11 municipalities of ComVal, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Mindanao Development Authority (MINDA), Board of Investments (BOI), private institutions, academe and other stakeholders.
The ComVal Business and Investment Security Summit (CVBISS) is a new platform introduced by the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) to provide a venue for business and the government sector to discuss issues and countermeasures relevant to business and investments security. As a prelude to CVBISS, the Consultative Forum on Business and Investment Security was held last July 30, 2018 in Nabunturan which was attended by hundreds of business leaders from all over the province to formulate the Provincial Business and Investment Security Plan and Protocol.The highlight of the summit on Friday will be the presentation of the final draft of the Comval Business and Investment Security Plan and Protocol craftedduring the consultative forum.
