COMVAL OPENS ITS 9TH NEGOSYO CENTER IN MONTEVISTA TOWN

The Department of Trade and Industry – Compostela Valley opens another LGU-based Negosyo Center, closing to the target of having all towns in the provinces to have their own Negosyo Center. On June 1, 2018, the Negosyo Center – Montevista was launched in an opening ceremony led by DTI Comval Provincial Director Atty. Lucky Siegfred M. Balleque and Montevista Mayor Eutropio S. Jayectin, becoming the 9thNegosyo Center in the province as well as the 8th LGU-basedNegosyo Center in Compostela Valley.

It is now to open to provide services to the local businesses, especially MSMEs. Business registration including DTI Business Name Registration and the LGU Business permit registration are among the frontline services of the Negosyo Center in Montevista. Business consultancy, business information services, entrepreneurship trainings and investment promotion are also regularly provided.

Provincial Director Ballequesaid that the Negosyo Center in Montevista shall also apply the best practice of other Negosyo Centers in the province in which it practically incorporate the services provided by the LGU, DTI and other relevant offices for the MSMEs in one area. Even local business group could also utilize the center for activities.

Mayor Jayectinon his part said that the establishment of the Negosyo Center Montevista is the best indicator that the local government and the national government are united in its effort in providing services to every sector including the business sector. He also reiterated support for the Negosyo Center and revealed the LGU plans to enhance the center.

DTI XI Division Chief Rachel S. Remitio, who represented DTI Regional Director Maria Belenda Q. Ambi, congratulated Montevista for joining the ranks of LGUs having their own Negosyo Center. She said that the municipality stands to benefit forhaving a Negosyo Center as it provides support to the MSME sector which is considered the backbone of the economy. (Kim Evangelio/DTI Comval)
