Comval legislative hall groundbreaking ceremony

Nabunturan, Compostela Valley — A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the proposed new legislative building at the back of the Compostela Valley Capitol, Cabidianan, Nabunturan on September 4, 2017.

The laying of capsule was headed by Cong. Maricar Zamora, Gov. Jayvee Tyron Uy, Vice-Gov. Manuel Zamora and District Engineer Joselito Caballero of Department of Public Works and Highways. They were also joined by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, department heads and their assistants, Landbank partners, CSC and other national government agencies. The capsule contains the PhP105 million worth of proposed legislative building plan.

The PhP65 million fund comes from the National government through the iniative of Cong. Maricar Zamora and the remaining PhP40 million will be coming from the Provincial Government of Compostela Valley led by Gov. Jayvee Tyron Uy.

The ceremony was held during the opening of the 117th anniversary of the Civil Service Commission.

“I would say there is no better way to present this than today; that you celebrate civil service month because when we say civil service, we talk about civil servants. And I think every civil servant, like you, deserve an office space and an office environment where you can do the best of your ability,” said Cong. Zamora. (Sheldane Mahinay // IDS ComVal)
