ComVal wins Green Banner anew; records lowest child malnutrition incidence in Davao Region
Compostela Valley Province— The province bags anew the “Green Banner Award” from the National Nutrition Council spearheaded by the National Council Executive Dir. Dr. Azucena M. Dayanghirang. Senior Board Member Arturo “Chiongkee” T. Uy received the award and gave his message in behalf of Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy the Provincial Nutrition Council Chair (PNC) during the Awarding Ceremony in the SMX Convention Center in Davao City, October 28, 2019.
Comval Province was hailed as a Greean Banner Awardee this year according to the Region XI Nutrition Program Coordinator Dr. Maria Teresa L. Ungson, due to the Province’s excellent performance with their Nutrition Program garnering 95.18% by the Inter-Agency Regional Technical Working Group after their Annual Monitoring and Evaluation of the Nutrition Programs over the provinces and cities within Region XI.
In line with the Provincial Government of Comval Province’s 4Ps+ Program, the innovation and application of various Nutrition Programs helped in the development and at the same time empowerment of its constituents to proper nutrition education and counter malnutrition all-over Comval.
Comval Province values its greatest asset, the Comvaleños. With the Province’s various Nutrition Programs namely Kusina ng Kalinga, Adopt-a-Child Program and Iron Fortified Rice, the Province will be able to give proper, satisfactory and accessible nutrition wherein its constituents can bring a more successful and prosperous Compostela Valley for the years to come.
