Different sectors within Comval province gather for Oplan Pagbabago Stakeholders’ Forum
Compostella Valley Province—With many offices within its core, Comval Province government officials, private sectors, and many others gather to for a forum on the betterment of the communities and developmental support within the community support program, the Oplan Pagbabago.
Held last May 17, 2019 at the Big 8 Corporate Hotel in Tagum City, the province held a forum for the ongoing major and minor issues in many affected areas, especially barangays, within Comval province.
The overview of the community support program was also discussed by Josephine M. Frasco, Action Officer of the Oplan Pagbabago and PG Department Head. The presentation and discussion of AO No. 70 was also thoroughly explained by DILG Provincial Director, Noel C. Duarte, MSPM.
From macro issues of concerns to micro issues of concerns, different sectors presented their main issues that have been unattended and discussed the possible factors and strategies that could help improve or end the issue being discussed.
The forum was headed by provincial governor Jayvee Tyron L. Uy who gave a message of thanks for the gathering of the many private and public sectors that came, along with Gen. Jose C. Faustino Jr., AFP Commander of the AGILA Division and Hon. Roberto M. Yugo, LMP President and Municipal Mayor of Pantukan.
Governor Uy also gave a discussion the current and future positive developments of the issues with the help of the sectors for Oplan Pagbabago.
“In this convergence, panatag ko na makaya nato ni. With all your help and your support, we will end this insurgency. The convergence is our hope and let’s unleash heroes within us in this endeavor. We have a chance in this lifetime na mawala gyud na sila diri.”, says Governor Uy in hopes of the improvement of the community support program for the next few upcoming years.
The Oplan Pagbabago is an effort of the Provincial Government of Compostela Valley in helping former rebels and sympathizers reintegrate back in the folds of the government within two components. (Sean Seismundo, ID Comval)
