Comval recognized for effective implementation on anti-illegal drug programs

Davao De Oro Province—The provincial government of Davao De Oro under Governor Jayvee Tyron L. Uy through the Provincial Anti-drug Abuse Council (PADAC) received a silver award with 90 points performance rating during the conduct of 2018 National Anti-Drug Abuse Council performance audit by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) through the Anti-Drug Abuse Council – Project Management Office (ADAC-PMO), for the recently concluded 2017 ADAC performance audit.

The awarding ceremony was held at the Manila Hotel on December 28, 2018 with no less than Secretary Eduardo Año handing over the plaque of recognition to PADAC focal persons and the head secretariat Dr. Mary Cyrel Pasaol of the provincial health office (PHO) and Executive Assistant Mario Angelo Sotto.

Said performance audit aims to gather data on ADAC functionality and effectiveness as stipulated in DILG- Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) joint memorandum circular no. 2018-01 which provides for the minimum standard for functionality and effectiveness of local ADACs and sets the performance indicators of a functional ADAC as measurements for effectiveness in support to the reduction of drug affection.

According to Dr. Pasaol that the national ADAC performance award will be given to local government units (LGUs) who achieved an adjectival rating of ideal (high functionality) based on the 2017 ADAC performance audit. The award will recognize the exemplary efforts of LGUs, through their respective ADACs, in complementing the national government’s efforts in eradicating the country’s drug problem.

Diha gyud nato makita nga naglihok gyud ang probinsiya ug ubang ahensiya sa atong gobyerno labi na gyud ang hugot nga supporta ni Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy para mapugngan ang pagkuyanap sa illegal nga druga, that is why the DILG recognized our efforts and we got 90 points during the conduct of the performance audit,” said Pasaol.

Generally, the awards accords recognition to provincial, city, or municipal ADACs who have exceptionally performed their duties and responsibilities in planning and implementing their respective anti-illegal drug programs, projects and activities.

“Based on the 2017 ADAC performance audit results, two hundred forty-one (241) LGUs composed of provinces, cities and municipalities have garnered scores between 85-100 high functionality points with an adjectival rating of ideal (high functionality). Out of which, twenty-one (21) LGUs got the perfect score and Davao De Oro Province belongs to the 21 provinces who performed well,” added Pasaol.

We are very proud kay nakita gyud nila nga ang atuang council naga function gyud sa atuang trabaho na perform gyud nato ug tarong. These really show that our governor is very supportive of the campaign of the president in fighting illegal drugs,” said Pasaol.
