Davao De Oro Celebrates Teacher’s Day
Davao De Oro Province- The Department of Education (DepEd) Davao De Oro celebrates the annual celebration of World Teachers Day on October 5, 2017 with the theme: “Gurong Pilipino, Ka-akbay sa Progreso”.
The celebration is in accordance to Presidential Proclamation No. 242, the period of September 5 – October 5 of every year is declared as the National Teacher’s Month and Republic Act 10743 is entitled an act of declaring the fifth day of October of every year as the National and World Teachers Day to recognize the role of teachers in honing the full potential of student towards nation-building.
National Teachers’ Day also aims to revitalize the image of and respect for teaching as a vocation by increasing public awareness on the value of teachers; take occasion as an opportunity in building image of teaching as an attractive and fulfilling profession and express gratitude for the positive influences of teachers on Filipino learners.
“Without teachers, all the other professionals- the doctors, the lawyers won’t exist. Indeed, teaching is the most noble profession of all. Karong World Teacher’s Day, ginasaulog ta ang kabayanihan sa mga magtutudlo sa matag skwelahan. Ginatagaan ta’g bili ang tanan nilang sakripisyo aron mamaayo ang edukasyon sa atong kabatan-onan. Padayon natong gina-ila ang ilahang kontribusyon diha sa pag-agak sa atong mga anak aron mamahimo silang responsableng kabahin sa komunidad.
